As our audience continues to grow and new people join the Agility family, we found it appropriate to re-introduce our collaboration with the Small Business Administration (SBA).
For those of you who don't know, three years ago Agility and the SBA came together and launched an educational program, offering free tools and resources to help small business owners plan for and recover from disasters.
Today, the program continues to evolve and grow, offering new checklists and webinar topics. The co-sponsored website, www.PrepareMyBusiness.org houses everything from real-world recovery stories to information on disaster assistance loans.

The Wrap-Up
As National Preparedness Month comes to a close, we would like to say thank you to all those who took the time to pledge to prepare this September. All told, we had over 4,100 registrants for our webinar series and tremendous support from national partners including: The Small Business Administration, FEMA and The American Red Cross.

National Preparedness Month
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in partnership with the Ready Campaign will kickoff
National Preparedness Month (NPM) this September. The campaign encourages all Americans to take the necessary steps to ensure their homes, workplaces and communities are prepared for disasters and emergencies of all kinds.
Agility is proud to partner in this nationwide initiative. You will hear more information about NPM in future posts. In the meantime, here are a few tools and resources worth checking out:

Multiple tornadoes ripped through the Dallas-Fort Worth area Tuesday, flattening homes and thrashing large tractor trailers. And while thankfully no deaths have been reported, people in the area are still suffering as the violent storms left hundreds of homes and businesses in ruins.

Think different.
When it comes to disaster recovery, small and medium-sized businesses must think differently than their larger counterparts. Although they may not have as many resources, smaller organizations are more flexible - this is a huge advantage. Smaller businesses can make decisions quicker and adapt better on-the-fly during recovery. But even the most nimble companies must have a plan. Fortunately, there is a great new resource which can help.
Agility has recently teamed up with the Small Business Administration to create PrepareMyBusiness.org.
This website provides tips for small businesses and includes a preparedness toolkit, over 20 planning checklists, best practices for testing of preparedness plans, and a free educational webinar series.
