Yesterday, the Ad Council paired up with FEMA and the Red Cross to announce the launch of several new public service announcements designed to encourage businesses, employees and communities to proactively plan and prepare for an emergency.
DID YOU KNOW:
- According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses represent more than 99 percent of all employers; provide approximately 65 percent of new jobs; and represent 97 percent of all U.S. exporters.
- Up to 40% of businesses affected by a disaster never reopen.
- Nearly two-thirds (62%) of businesses report they don't have any type of an emergency plan.
