Nationwide Test of the Emergency Alert System
In an effort to strengthen our nation's preparedness and resiliency, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will conduct the first nation-wide test of the Emergency Alert System on November 9th, at 2 p.m. eastern standard time.
Watch the below video as Administrator Fugate and FEMA’s Neil McDevitt explain what to expect during the nations first test of the Emergency Alert System.
As the federal, state and local governments prepare for and test their capabilities, we are reminded of the benefits of testing and the need to continually refine your business continuity plan.
