It has dominated recent headlines, gunman in Northern Ohio opened fire inside a high school cafeteria killing two students and wounding three others. It is always shocking when you hear stories like this. To think, a place you considered safe and secure could turn life-threatening.
It is an unimaginable thought; however, the risk is one that cannot be ignored. Violence in the workplace is a threat that most executives take seriously but few actually plan for. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately two million Americans are victims of workplace violence each year; costing businesses up to $120 billion annually.
